YOU SHOULD BE A CHANNEL OF BLESSING, Not A Reservoir | Prov 11:25 | My Jesus Today – Lesson 16 | David Adeniji

You hear some people say they are self-made. It’s not true! No one is self made. When you trace their story well, there was a breaking point, when someone (out of many other misses) chose to be a channel of blessing to them and that changed their story…someone chose to single them out even when they didn’t merit it. Such people are few, they are like angels. Mary was such a person, in John 2:3.

It wasn’t her business to provide wine, but she took the matter to the great provider, on behalf of the groom, the bride and the party Governor, and averted disgrace! The result – everybody smiled, she became a channel of blessing, not a reservoir. Bible says in Prov 11:25, that “He that water others will be watered.” and that the generous soul will be made fat!

Please let me show you something this morning. No one told Mary that the party wine had finished. Even if they told her, I’m sure they do not expect her to produce wine. Bible didn’t say she was a wine seller or manufacturer. Likewise, the butler and Baker in Genesis 40, also did not tell Joseph that they had a dream, he was only observant enough to notice the unusual look on their faces.

There are people who just take up a burden for themselves and choose to be channels of blessings to a larger set of people. They just identify a problem and choose to get personal with solving it. Such people are rare, and that’s because it’s a strange level of sacrifice. But you know what, thank God for such people, otherwise, some of us won’t be saved today. Receive grace to be a channel of blessing, in Jesus Name.
