GOD’s BLESSINGS ‘No De’ FINISH | John 2:3 | My Jesus Today – Lesson 13 | David Adeniji
As a teenager, I was once scheduled for an operation in the hospital. Now, after being partially sedated for like 2 days, and on the third day when the operation is to be carried out, an unpleasant news broke – All doctors and surgeons Went on Strike! And they walked out on all patients including all emergencies. Now, what would you do if you had a son in such a situation? Well, to God be the Glory, it’s a testimony today.
My question this morning is: what do you do in times of emergencies? How do you react? Who do you turn to? Who do you tell? When you run out of supply of any sort – be it material, money, food, clothing, help, friends, association, peace, health, whatever it is, who do you tell first? Seriously, God, or man?
It’s true that God doesn’t just rain money on us from heaven, and it’s true that we don’t see angels zoom in like US Marines on a rescue mission, yet, he uses men, only that he wants us to look to Him and not those men. And guess what? His blessings never finish. That’s what Lamentations 3:22-23 says. That’s what makes Him God. With God you never run out of spiritual supply, even when you have a physical lack, or deficiency in strength, Bible says he has blessed you with all spiritual blessings in Heavenly places in Christ Jesus. That’s your hope. That’s your anchor! What you see now is not all there is. What is written is yours for the taking….if only you believe!
Now, let’s get down to it. And understand that scripture (John 2:2) in context. That wine is an inntegral part of every Jewish wedding. It’s just like having a Nigerian party and after serving half of the people, the Jollof Rice (or meat) finishes. You will not only be disappointed with yourself, you’ll feel bad because you’d now have a lot of apologies to give to your guests. But what Happened, what did Mary do? Instead of going to inform the bridegroom, who should be seen as the organizer, she informed Jesus instead! That’s my message for this morning. You’ve been telling people without telling Jesus first. Repent today, Jesus is interested in that gist. Tell him first, and you see supernatural response…Amen. Hallelujah.
