ARE YOU COMPASSIONATE ? | Matt 9:36 | The Lord Of The Harvest – Lesson 13 | David ADENIJI

Yesterday, we established that you have to be compassionate towards someone, to get them saved. It became clear that compassion is the first step to getting anyone saved. In Matt 9:36, Jesus was moved with compassion, and that’s why He could heal everyone.

But what is compassion? It’s the sympathetic pity for the sufferings or misfortunes of others. I tell you, many are guilty of this. As long as you aren’t their wife or biological child, they have little or no feelings for whatever you’re going through. It’s the reason many find it difficult to help people they don’t know. It’s because they don’t have compaison.

But wait a minute. Where there’s no love, compassion is just dead. If you don’t love, you can’t be compassionate. Agape love is the Jesus love that breeds compassion. You see, if you cultivate the habit of loving everyone, no matter the circumstance or what they have been to you, you will always feel what they feel, and you will never finding yourself rejoicing when they’re in pain, even if they are your enemies.

So, are you compassionate? It’s a habit you have to cultivate if you want to be a vessel of help towards your environment. John 3:16 is a story of a compassionate God who loved his world so much, and doesn’t want them to perish, so he sacrificed his only son. If you’re compassionate, you will give to the needs of people around you, because you can’t stand their lack!
