THE LORD OF THE HARVEST (Jehovah Therismos) | Matt 9:37-38 | David Adeniji

I bring you greetings from the whole Elapino Team. Elapino is a contemporary Greek phrase for ‘Come, Drink’. We find this in John 7:37. If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink – Jesus Speaking.

Last Friday we completed our series – I know whom I believed – whose anchor scripture we find in 2 Tim 1:12. I must confess, it was an awesome series. Check out all missed lessons on Elapino.com/stream , or our YouTube channel – https://bit.ly/3dxGyWD

Our next series is titled – THE LORD OF THE HARVEST. In Matt 9:37, our Lord Jesus told us – The harvest is plenty, the labourers are few. Verse 38 introduced our revelation. We’re to pray that The Lord Of The Harvest sends labourers into His vineyard. Let me try to answer the first question. What is harvest? Harvest, in agriculture simply means the produce/reward of a planting season.

Harvest is what you reap after you have sown. So, this teaching actually is an advanced class after learning how to sow. It’s one thing to sow, it’s another thing to preserve your seed until it grows, then it’s yet another task to harvest what grows. Many people understand sowing, but they lose their harvest because they don’t know that reaping is as much an exercise as sowing. But remember that if you’re not a sower, you need not bother about harvesting or reaping.

There can be no harvest, let alone plenteous harvest, if there was no sowing. In other words, you cannot harvest if you don’t sow. Let me prepare your hearts by asking – Are you a sower? Begin to plan your seeds and begin to sow them? The teaching starts 26th April, but this week, we’ll keep preparing our hearts.
