One sign your children are growing is that they ask you more questions. As they grow older, they become more matured, and become more inquisitive, they ask more questions. But they must have the confidence of getting answers whenever they ask you, else, they will look elsewhere.
Interestingly, the Holy Spirit has been waiting in you since you received Jesus, that you begin to ask Him every question of your heart. John 14:13 says he will guide you into all truth, John 14:16 in the Amplified version says he’s your help. In life, we always need help, in form of answers, sometimes, we need them urgently, and sometimes desperately, because with maturity comes the need to make choices, and our choices determine the quality of life we can live.
Unfortunately, you’ve sought for answers more externally than internally. You haven’t been asking the Holy Spirit for answers. Ok, I get it, you’ve asked your counselors, mentors, parents and the internet first, instead of asking Him first, you say the Holy Spirit doesn’t respond as quick as you want, or maybe he never responds. But that’s not true!
The problem is, you need to build that rapport, you need to train your heart to ask Him questions and wait for answers. You need to start from somewhere. And that place is right here. Close your eyes now, shut out noise from your mind, think nothing but him, see nothing but him, and ask him that question that has defied answers all along. Then wait a while with confidence. Thank God because he has heard and your answer is coming swiftly. But that’s not all, if you need answers from God, you’ll talk less, listen more and be sensitive, all through your day. His answers come without notice, and if you have a rowdy spirit, you may miss them.
And you also need the courage to obey. Step out of fear and doubt. Have you noticed that sometimes the answers you later get from people are the things he has been prompting you repeatedly all along? You need is the courage to obey his leading. If you follow and obey his answers to you, He will guide you more, and you’ll never lack answers from Heaven. Amen!
